The Battery Innovation Days (BID) celebrated its third edition in the heart of Bordeaux, France on November 14 and 15, 2023, highlighting the crucial theme of "fostering a competitive and sustainable European battery value chain.
Utilising the chance to present its innovative research at the Battery Innovation Days, CoFBAT staged its latest innovations as an official exhibitor at the exhibition hall. With a variety of informational activities and interesting materials, the CoFBAT booth was a centre of activity. Through the distribution of an educational pamphlet, CoFBAT gave participants insight into the goals and accomplishments of the project. Project mementoes, such as pens and environmentally friendly glass bottles bearing the CoFBAT emblem, functioned as concrete symbols of the initiative's dedication to sustainability.
Work packages 4, 5, 6, and 7 showcased their innovative research and developments through individual poster presentations, providing an extensive overview of each package. Participants were able to explore the nuances of CoFBAT's work in these important domains.
A collaborative atmosphere was established by the Battery Innovation Days, to which numerous projects and organisations made significant contributions. Other prestigious projects like ABEE, CIDETEC, Cic Energigune, IFE, Solvay, VUB, Varta Microbattery, and Uppsala University joined CoFBAT, strengthening the sense of camaraderie and common commitment to developing battery technologies.
The Battery Innovation Days 2023 in Bordeaux were a huge success, drawing in 1400 delegates both in person and virtually. CoFBAT's proactive involvement and noticeable presence demonstrated its dedication to influencing a future in which cobalt-free batteries are essential to building a competitive and sustainable European battery value chain.
