On 27 and 28 April, the sixth General Assembly of the CoFBAT project took place in a hybrid format. Leitat Technology welcomed some partners on-site in Terrasa, Spain, while the rest of the partners joined online. This is the second time that the GA takes place in hybrid format. Hopefully the next GA will be in a fully face-to-face format!
On the first day, the GA started with a discussion on the management of the project and the updates regarding the review meeting with the project officer from the EC happening on 5 July and the upcoming periodic report. CoFBAT is entering its final phase! The rest of the day was dedicated to WP4 – Process development for components and cell assembly led by Iratxe de Meatza from CID, and WP5 – Testing and characterisation of battery cells to gain insights in ageing phenomena and for optimisation purposes led by Marian Cabañero from CICe. At the end of the first day, the partners present at Terrasa had the opportunity to visit the facilities at Leitat and enjoyed a nice Spanish dinner.
For the second day of the GA, the last three Work Packages were presented: WP6 – Design and prototyping of 21700 battery cell by Sebastian Shebesta from VMB, WP7 – Life cycle analysis and cost assessment and recycling by Fabian Diaz from MIMI, and WP8 – Dissemination, exploitation and business plan by Claire Lemaire from EASE. The GA was concluded with some encouraging words by Carlos Concepcion, coordinator of the project and a summary of events that partners will be attending in the coming months to present CoFBAT.
